If you want to play the rate of fire game, than the saw launcher, rocket launcher and even shotgun and sniper are all inferior weapons to the pistol. Plus in this game rate of fire only matters if your shots can actually reach their target and the pistol out ranges all the SMGs.

I disagree, the worst example is the Tier 1 mode in Ghost Recon Wildlands. AI get aimbots (you will be sniped with dual-wielded mac-10s gangsters), you have to play in stealth, or let AI teammates/rebels handle fighting, or die.
